Two top aides have left Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign, which has been struggling in the polls and with fundraising. Ex-White House Official Testifies on Attorney Firings
Former White House political director Sara Taylor testified before a congressional committee investigating the firings of eight federal prosecutors Wednesday. Jurisprudence: Gonzales Was Informed of Patriot Act Violations
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales received at least half a dozen reports of FBI violations of the Patriot Act, according to Tuesday's Washington Post. Gonzales had apparently received them in the weeks and months before he told senators in 2005 that no violations had taken place. Dahlia Lithwick talks with Deborah Amos. Listen to the segment.
